A Big 12 matchup has the potential of dominating the primetime spotlight tonight as the NFL slate looks shaky. Baylor is trying to get back on track tonight, but they are up against a difficult opponent on the road. West Virginia hosts the Bears in a matchup that hopefully produces enough offense for the evening!
Baylor sits at 3-2 on the season after losing both matchups against ranked opponents. The Bears fell in week two to BYU in overtime, and then against last week to 9th seed Oklahoma State. West Virginia is 2-3 on the season and has similarly lost to three strong opponents: Texas, Kansas, and Pittsburgh. It should be a somewhat even matchup.
The Baylor Bears are a 3-point favorite on the road, and the over/under is set at 55 total points.
The Bet:
Baylor/West Virginia o55 points (4 units)
Reasoning:
We all know the Big 12 is famous for playing absolutely no defense and scoring a bunch. The whole gameplan is normally, "it's okay if they score, we will just score more". Hopefully this tactic comes alive tonight.
Baylor is scoring 37.4 points a game and is allowing 20.6. West Virginia is scoring 38.2 and allowing 29.6 points per game. The numbers don't lie, and although a little weather might be in play tonight, the over should soar over!
I'm really looking forward to a fast paced, offensive game tonight! If a slow start occurs, I will be looking at taking a live over. I will keep these plays up to date on the twitter when and if I take them.
As always, God Speed!
