Hello Friends… welcome to PGA National. Just doesn’t have the same ring to it as Augusta, we’ll get there soon. Anyway, PGA National this week for the Honda Classic. I’m actually surprised how well I’ve done so far this season (it's only because you pick top 10 guys), let's get into it.
The Genesis Review:
Last week my bets were Collin Morikawa and Beau Hossler. Collin finished T2, let's face it though he was never extremely close, Joaquin had it in hand since Friday morning. Hossler was actually in great shape most of the weekend until a 75 during round four sent him down to T48. High-level thoughts of the weekend; I didn’t watch much because I was up to no good. I like Jaoquin Nieman and his girlfriend even more. I was right about Collin and I don’t care what anyone thinks about that comment.
The Honda Classic Preview:
Moving onto the Honda Classic at PGA National. This is an interesting week, we’ve been playing some big courses on the west coast and now come to a par 70 in Florida, how will the travel affect the boys? I think Vegas feels the same way. The favorite this week is Sunjae Im at +1000, this is the highest odds for a favorite since I started blogging (like 4 weeks). Matt Jones, defending champ is +5000 and I like the value there. HOWEVER, I’m going with Brooks (+1,800) for the same reason I went with Collin last week, it's time for him to break out this season.
Like most of my long shots, they’re more opinion than anything. This week I like Stewart Cink (+10,000). Not sure why, I feel like he’s got more wins in him after earning multiple wins last year.
I’d be remiss if I failed to mention my thoughts on the Super League and all the talk that's happened this week. If you know me, you know I believe money talks, but not louder the human rights. Phil can fuck off, he’s a scumbag, keep walking back your comments fuckstick.
