As the Olympic Golf Tournament tees off tomorrow at the stunning Le Golf National in Guyancourt, excitement is building among fans and bettors alike. This prestigious event, set against the backdrop of one of France’s premier golf courses, promises a thrilling display of athleticism and strategy. With top golfers from around the globe vying for Olympic glory, the stakes are high and the competition fierce.
Course Preview and Olympic Format:
Le Golf National is the home to the Open de France, the oldest open in continental Europe. It also hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup where Europe beat the United States 17.5 to 10.5.
It is a relatively short course at only 7,174 yards and is a part 71. The windy course has small greens and an abundance of water hazards. Driving accuracy and approach to the small greens will play a major factor in determining the winner.
The importance of accuracy off the tee and type of rough is comparable to multiple RBC courses like Hamilton, St. George, and Oakdale.
The abundance of water hazards mimics courses like Harbour Town and TPC Sawgrass.
Bets and Predictions:
The United States is bringing the World #1, #2, #5, and #6 (Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Collin Morikawa). If the US doesn't take gold, it will be a major disappointment.
Xander Schauffele is the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and will look to hold that title.
Xander and Scottie are easy winner predictions, but the value just isn't there for me. I may jump on Scottie live if he falls behind, but I'm taking pre-tournament long shots instead.

Good luck as always if tailing, and lets enjoy some Olympic Golf!
